At the end of the nineteenth
century in France.
I- It was in 1850 that the French network rail started. On the map, we can see the evolution of this network.
This rail network wouldn’t have changed so fast without Gustave Eiffel’s intervention. That engineer worked
in the construction of the French rail and road network. He contributed to the widening rail network.
From 1951 to 1900, Gustave EIFFEL built fifty five railway bridges and thirty four road bridges all over
France and all over the world.
